I don't know if you are already aware but Jess is part of the Blues and Roots festival this website is for Byron Bay, I don't know if anyone here can make it there, but if you know about it someone may make it

2010 is 21st birthday of Bluesfest - The International East Coast Blues and Roots Festival held at a new site Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm, near Byron Bay, Australia over the Easter weekend from Thursday 1st until Monday 5th April 2010.

Bluesfest offers all kinds of blues music, world music, roots music, and a hybrid of those and other cultural styles under one umbrella - Blues & Roots Music. Bluesfest has continued to evolve incorporating surf culture, Latino Music, African Music, as well as political and environmental message artists.


Line-up
The latest acts confirmed for 2010 are The Fray, Jools Holland & His Rhythm and Blues Orchestra, John Butler Trio, Taj Mahal & His Band, John Mayall, Bebel Gilberto, Matisyahu, Angus and Julia Stone, 10cc, Rodriguez, Jon Cleary, Ross Wilson's Five Decades Of Cool, The Dynamites Featuring Charles Walker, Josh White Jr., Patty Larkin, and The Greencards. They join the following:

Thursday
Jack Johnson, Orquesta Buena Vista Social Club, Dr John And The Lower 911, Matt Costa, Neil Halstead, Zee Avi, Ozomatli, Galactic, A.L.O. (Animal Liberation Orchestra), Lil Band O' Gold, and Brian Auger's oblivion Express.

Friday
Buddy Guy, Jeff Beck, The Swell Season, Blue King Brown, Dr John And The Lower 911, Al Di Meola World Sinfonia, Galactic, Joe Bonamassa, Rockwiz, Avett Brothers, Colin Hay Band, A.L.O. (Animal Liberation Orchestra).

Tickets
Early bird tickets are on offer. Adult 5 day tickets are priced (in Australian dollars) at $347, 3 (consecutive) days $262. Child (age 5-14) tickets for 5 days are priced at $94, a 3 day tickets is $77. There will be one day tickets available.

All Kids under the age of 5 are free. Children between the age of 5 and 14 inclusive have to be in the supervision of a Responsible adult. Other ticket options are also available. To buy tickets, click here.


Camping info
Camping will be available at the festival. There will be a regular shuttle service from the festival to and from Byron Bay. In addition there are several options for public transport to and from the Festival.

The Festival is a licensed event with plenty of bars to pick from. No Alcohol or Glass allowed. There is a wide variety of food at the international food fair, which is held inside the festival.


Green ethics
Bluesfest has had many years experience as a green event organisation incorporating green ethics, the principles of environmental sustainability and each year they actively pursue opportunities to implement these principles in the management of the festival.
